US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - New welcome packet each year?

Hi all. Time to de-lurk. I became both Silver & Gold Preferred in 2000, so I got both welcome packets and a total of 4 SWU's in 2000. My membership cards both had 2/01 expiration dates.

I just realized that I never got a Gold card with a 2/02 expiration date. Was I supposed to? And was I supposed to get another 2 SWU's?

Assuming you made elite status via prescribed segment or mileage minimums (and not challenges) last year, you should have received a new 2001 Gold packet (including 2 more SWUs and a membership card with exp. 2/28/02) around March 1 of this year.

Challenge elite status only carries over an additional year if you earn the status in the second half of the previous year. In other words, if you earned elite status via a challenge anywhere from 01/00-06/00, then status only carries over to 02/01.

If you're entitled to a new packet, I'd call the Gold Preferred Desk to clear up your situation.
