Slightly OT, but for those who canvassed both the flyertalk and the planebusiness boards, be aware that the PBB board will go away as of Friday or so. The new spot appears to be www.usaviation.com (http://www.usaviation.com)

It's actually owned by a US pilot...

Which means its only a matter of time before someone finds out which one and starts 'reporting' all the activity to his or her supervisor... dangerous ground they walk on http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Agreed. I've kinda advocated the notion that employees of an airline NOT be moderators of that airline's message boards as it might create the opportunity for undue influence from the "higher ups".

Apparently, the PlaneBusiness discussion boards (as they are now) will shut down. The new PB site will have discussion boards, but they'll only be accessible to PB subscribers. PlaneBusiness itself is not shutting down, meaning we'll still have the Not-So-Daily-Banter and Perspectives, etc. Just no free boards.

If you've been on the PB boards during the last six months, it's gotten a bit toxic with some folks on the AA/TWA forums trying to hijack the entire board. From what I can tell, it's become a bigger headache than it was worth - so they'll shut down the free board in the next week or two, and then have a subscriber-only area, or otherwise a fee-based area.

While I'm sorry to see it happen - it's not unexpected.

Sounds like the way ALL airline employees seem to hijack the AOL boards.
