US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - CP SWUs

Reading the Chairman's Preferred benefits, I notice that the 2001 summary only includes 2 SWUs. I thought that CPs got 4 transatlantic certs. Did this change between 2000 and 2001?

CP's got two SWU's and two companion SWU's I believe ... not four "real" SWU's ...

Yes, this is a commonly misunderstood benefit. In fact, while I am aiming for a reduced level CP membership this year, I keep having to remind myself that I am getting 2 (not 4) SWUs. The 2 companion SWUs must be used on the same flight as you. So yes, you kind of benefit but you only get 2 upgrades for yourself.

I'll leave it to the experts to discuss details about whether they need to be booked together, etc.
