I've got a 7 hour layover at MGA at the end of Dec on my way to SAL. I was curious on suggestions of ways to spend the layover. I would be even interested in a 4 hour guided tour of some sort I arrive at MGA at 0600.

I may be a little late in replying, but maybe you haven't left yet.
Having spent a week in Nicaragua a few years back I can tell you that Managua is pretty much a pit - not much to see there, even the lake isn't very pretty.
There are a few taxis in front of the airport, so you could grab one of those and go into town, but there just isn't much there.
