South - Atlanta Artwork Greeting

I've been flying in and out of Atlanta forever it seems.
Upon arriving and taking the escalators to baggage claim, I've been seeing the same Olympic "artwork" greeting me for many years.
Is it just me, or is it time to replace the art ? Cute kids squatting on Olympic park fountains are getting really tired.

Maybe you Floridians would like to subsidize the cost and help the taxpayers here out..? In truth, it is just this type of undertaking that gets hit in budget cuts.
Yeah, that picture has been there for some time, but I looking forward to seeing it every time. I know I'm finally home.....again.
I took a trip to Atlanta this September and in my trip album I captioned the mural: "The creepiest welcome to any city ever". :D

Change to what? Sherman marching through Atlanta? I guess they feel the Olympics are part of a lifetime memory, so might as well keep the mural. I imagine many people rushing through the airport don't notice and even fewer care. I fly into LAX a fair amount and have no idea what's on the murals there. Sacramento's airport just had some interesting sculptures installed, but I don't much care. Historic photographs could be interesting, but I doubt many would stop to look.
Yep, I've hated that thing since the first time I saw it; and I can no longer remember how long ago that was. Back in the 80's they use to say "*hit happens". Well, Olympics happened; and it was a big deal for the people who needed a big deal to happen in their lives. These days I'm just glad that space is not an advertisement for American Deli.:D
