View Full Version : Seeing Seat Availability?

As I am fairly new to Flyertalk, I have just been sitting back trying to soak in as much as I could without asking questions that have been answered a million times.

I have seen many references to looking up seat availability and the codes or seat counts, but have not been able to figure out how to find that info out. Is there an old thread with details? I was on the AmEx travel site, went through the booking process for a FC seat, and was able to see the seats available, but no codes.

Some help for a newcomer?

change your profile setting to advanced on ITN (AmEx Travel) and all will be revealed.... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

On either Amex or ITN - change your profile to Expert level. Then log on and get the flight information - and you should see the familiar codes for F A G Y B H M V.

And yes, this has been covered a time or two in this forum - and I think most recently over in either Omni or Buzz. good luck.

Thanks, it worked perfectly. Now, the easiest place to find the descriptions for the above codes?

You can search this forum for the US codes, other airline forums for their codes most likely.

If you click the search link in the upper right corner of this page and then put in "fare codes" and search back 60 days you'll find the topic "US Airways Fare Categories"
