US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - expired 800 mile certs.. any value??
Just a quick question. Do expired 800 mile upgrade coupons have any value ? Recently a gate agent advised me that I could redeposit for mileage credit. Had not heard that one.
Thanks,

The rules say that they can be returned for 500 miles credit. I've heard that they will exchange a limited number (10?) for new ones. Once I mentioned that to a gate agent and they said not to bother. They took my 3 expired certificates and gave me an upgrade.
US seems to do things like this for me more than some other carriers.

Interesting facts about the expired upgrade coupons. I will attempt to return some for mile credit tomorrow. I will advise.

I tried and got a letter reading something to the effect of "SEŅOR CHEXFAN- you are an idiot for trying to redeem an expired certificate."
Basically they said "nope, nice try."

The rules are that only non-expired mileage certs can be sent in for mileage credit. Whether or not they enforce it, I have no experience, but it seems like at least chexfan got bounced (though that could be because he's chexfan and they found out he's gone over to the borg, ie Untied)
