US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Domestic 3 Class serviceView Full Version : Domestic 3 Class service dknn Aug 27, 01, 1:19 pm Does anyone know which domestic route has 3 classes of service (first, business, coach)? BizJet Aug 27, 01, 2:24 pm The only three-class aircraft in the US Airways fleet is the Airbus A330. This flies almost entirely on transatlantic runs from PHL, PIT, and CLT. It is also used on a select few domestic runs out of PHL. US1854 PHL-SJU and US1192 SJU-PHL are with the A330. I believe at one time (Winter only maybe?) it operated PHL-SJU-PHL but it no longer does (of course one of the MIA flts is the same flight number as PHL-FCO, but there is a change of aircraft in PHL, at least on the current timetable). biggs Aug 28, 01, 9:08 am Last winter they ran the MIA-PHL run using a 330. I think it left @ noon-1PM. However, it is my understanding that upgrades get booked into Envoy and not FC on domestic. I guess you could buy a FC ticket all the way. phllax Aug 28, 01, 12:48 pm Even to SJU they only use the Envoy cabin as domestic first class. Most of the time anybody you see in the FC section is a non-rev anyway. |
