US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - cheap SFO

I was just on the US website trying a run routing from SFO-CLT and came up with a SFO-PIT-CLT-PHL-SFO that leaves Sept 1 and comes back Sept 2. With less than 7 days booking it came up with a fare of $305 w/tax. The cheaper/alternative flight came in at $1800+.

I'd seen the SFO special on their website, I just never expected that it included short notice booking. There is one rate from Aug 31-Sep 4th ($289 base) which allows for 3 days advanced booking.

Seems you can get some halfway decent mileage runs out of this without an overnight. For example SFO-PHL-MCO-PHL-SFO comes to $310 w/tax and clocks 6,755 status miles. You can schedule a 9pm flight out of SFO, get into MCO the next morning for a short layover and bounce on back to the west coast.
