Hi there,

I'm flying with Turkish Airlines Copenhagen-Istanbul-Singapore and with Qantas Singapore-Perth. I will have checked-in luggage.

Do I need to clear immigration in Singapore before I can check-in with Qantas? My time between arriving and departing Singapore is 3h 35m.

Sorry if this has been asked before!

Kind regards,
Eva

Welcome to FT!

It all depends on if you can check your bags all the way through to Perth. If so, you can just go to the transfer desk at SIN if you need your BP.
Otherwise you need to collect your bags and go out to check-in.
Unfortunately I do not know if you can interline. Hopefully someone can give you an answer.

I assume by the way you wrote your post that you are on a separate ticket between TK & QF? If so then I'm not sure if there is an interline agreement between TK & QF where your luggages can be checked through to PER for separate tickets. I've have experiences with a CX->AC connection on a separate ticket where not only my luggages were tagged with the AC flight number to my final destination by CX, but CX also managed to print my AC boarding pass. So it worked out for my One World to Star Alliance connection. But not sure if your Star Alliance to One World connection can work out with your luggages being checked through since I have no idea on the interline situation between TK & QF on separate ticket situations.

However if your routing is all in one ticket, then I would assume TK will most likely be able to tag your bags all the way to your QF flight.

Even if the bags are not interlined, at Singapore just go to the transfer desk and show them your bag tags and they will find it and interline it for you, or thats how it worked before

retrolina, welcome to FlyerTalk. Let's see if the readers of the Singapore forum can also help. I'll move this thread there. Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator, TravelBuzz.
