Well, undwer the UA-US deal, life-memberships would have been honored. Now, if US sells out bit by bit, will my membership fall the way of my TW life membership? (good for two years on some other carrier).

On another note, I would love to see US, AS, and YX get in bed together.

I too have a lifetime membership for me and spouse. Hope to see US make an effort to become a contending global carrier. If its not UA it will be another suitor. TW lifetime memberships were not honored by AA?

So ZRS...not being the most well-versed here in these terms...who is AS? And as well who is YX?

AS = Alaska Airlines (note that Alaska the state is AK)

YX = Midwest Express

Yup. But TWA went to bankcrupt so old contracts need not be honored. I hope US does not get merged that way since then the party buying the assets can pretty much pick and chose what they want to honor.
