US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - FF pooling with AA - Time limit??

I would appreciate if anyone can offer a little insight..I went through a bunch of old topics and learned about the "pooling" of US Air and AA and I have a question. How long is this offer available for? My family member has about 15k miles in each account and is being told by the airline (I think AA) that she has to 'pool and ticket' by June of 2002 or she will lose the miles..

USAir had indicated that all combining of US+AA miles had to be ticketed by 8/23/01.
Also, you need to ticket it 3 weeks prior to travel.

A US/AA award ticket is only good for a flight on US or AA metal. It has to be ticketed by 8/23/01 and the itin has to be completed by 6/30/02.

If the AA and US miles are not pooled together, the miles will not be lost. The opportunity to combine them will.
