What is it with all these targeted bonuses? I have not been targeted so I am beginning to have low self esteem. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif. I haven't gotten any notifications for bonuses for being a NC resident, for double or triple miles, for Silver or Gold challenges or even a postcard from UA on the upcoming merger like Forrest Gump. Even the email I received on automatic bonuses for 3 online bookings I have to ask for crediting. Maybe I do not pay enough to fly because 99% is discounted travel. Oh well, 12 more leisure segments in the next 3 weeks and a few for business depending on the next internal crisis. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Biggs-
I've got the same complex! The only way I find out about "deals" is through this website. To make matters worse, I have a summer home in NC and I changed my address and registered for the double tier miles bonus. When I didn't get the bonus I called the Service Center and was told that despite the fact that the NC address was on the account prior to traveling, my account was not "targeted" for the promotion and only those persons in NC and GA who received the e-mail or letter were eligible. When I told her that the e-mail didn't say it was targeted, the sgent advised me that "a lot of times they don't, even though they are." When I asked what I had to do to get "targeted" she said that the criteria for each promotion is determined by the marketing department and if I didn't get promos, apparently I didn't meet the criteria, although I consistently fly over 100K per year. In fact, she told me that the fact that I do fly so much was probably one of the reasons I didn't get the promos (because I already have tons of miles). So don't feel bad.....you're ****ed if you do and you're ****ed if you don't!

I admit that I've gotten the NC double miles bonus, but the only other card or offer I've received from US was the one offering 2500-5000 miles for getting a friend to buy a US Airways Club membership.

(Of course, I did get the double miles, so I won't whine or complain about the other offers.)

I had to call and ask for the NC double miles to post. They said they are having some problems with them going automatically, but when I called they were posted within minutes.

From the sound of that, there's hope for us others who haven't actually received cards for some of these bonuses. (Not saying someone in MN could get the NC/GA bonus though.)

And like many concert tours, why did they skip SC?????? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/confused.gif
