I plan on driving from Port Huron, MI to Irvine, CA soon... Planning on taking I69 -> I70 -> I44 -> I40 -> I15

Will I run into areas without any gas stations along that route? My car can do about 600km / 375mi on a tank of gas.

Thanks!

go to mapquest.com click on directions, type in start and end point, pull up directions look to right side find gas station symbol and check for stations along your route.

Have a nice drive!

You'll be fine.

It's interstate all the way going north (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Port+Huron,+MI&daddr=irvine+ca&hl=en&geocode=Fe-ujwIdrksW-ykhKsdtYpwliDFsTzJN5I9DBQ%3B&mra=ls&sll=42.970863,-82.424914&sspn=0.140174,0.397568&ie=UTF8&z=4)(just pay attention to the "next services" signs in Utah and Nevada, particularly) or south (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Port+Huron,+MI&daddr=38.76441,-90.17189+to:37.0141,-93.29988+to:35.52942,-98.42464+to:irvine+ca&hl=en&geocode=Fe-ujwIdrksW-ykhKsdtYpwliDFsTzJN5I9DBQ%3BFXp_TwIdDhag-imrBk1zJE7fhzGL_4w03KoE-A%3BFVTKNAIdWFtw-ikHwdtH9W7PhzF3z07fYqY8HA%3BFcwiHgIdwCgi-ikFTRtEi9OthzEPdmyzYiM9aA%3BFev5AQIdepj6-CnjQJFoDt3cgDE5mkpgdbV6pw&mra=dvme&mrcr=0&mrsp=3&sz=5&via=1,2,3&sll=37.857507,-92.460937&sspn=9.673493,25.444336&ie=UTF8&ll=39.164141,-101.777344&spn=18.973335,50.888672&z=4) (same caveat for western New Mexico, Arizona, and the California desert)

Thanks guys.

I wish google maps can show gas stations along the route with the click of a button.... unless it's already possible and I just don't know how to do it.

You're taking interstate highways the whole way; there's going to be gas at regular intervals. I'd be surprised if there's a stretch where gas stations are even 50 miles apart. But as cblaisd said, do watch for the "Next Gas XX Miles" signs in remote areas. And even if you're using a website or GPS to locate stations, consider practicing safe habits such as not letting your gas drop below 1/4 tank unless you know you are going to pass a sizeable town in the next 50 miles. A station listed in the GPS database could be closed for the day or for good.

The route you are taking is fairly typical trucking route. Although we like to crack jokes about it being in the sticks, middle America is actually not a deserted waste land :) There will be plenty of service stations along the way so I wouldn't worry about it one bit. We don't have Tim Hortons or bagged milk so you'd have to bring those yourself.
