Wyndham Rewards - Can I get points if I reserved directly with the Hotel?

I was wondering if there's a way I could do this, since I reserved a room in a Days Inn in Uruguay, but daysinn.com said no availability. Then I called the hotel and they said there was plenty of availability, so I reserved with them. When I told them I was going to give them my Wyndham rewards number, they said the stay wouldn't accrue any points because it was reserved directly with the hotel. I then called windham only to have the phone answered by someone with the most terrible spanish comprehension I've ever encountered (why do they even bother having a spanish reservations number), so gave up and came here... any advise?

As long as your rate is qualifying, you should receive your points. If they do not post to your account after 10 days from check out, give us a call and we will research the stay for you.

I am currently at the days inn punta del este. At check in i told them if they could get my WR number in the rez but allegedly they dont participate in the program, and are "just franchisees". Any way I can get my points here? Just reserved here because of the program, and the hotel is not what I expected, i would have gone to tje neighbouring conrad if they had availability

I’m sorry you were told you would receive points. Currently, Uruguay properties are not a part of the Wyndham Rewards program, as we have not launched in that country yet.
