Other Hotel Programs - Morgans Hotel Group--is there a loyalty program?

Hi all,
I will be spending a significant chunk of time in a Morgans hotel in the next few months, but I don't see much about a loyalty or hotel program. I searched the archives here with no luck as well.
Does anyone have any information they can share? Thank you,
SN

They do have a frequent guest program. There's not any information online from what I can tell, but to get a number, go to the morgans hotel group website and create a profile. When you finish it will assign you a number. Don't do what I did and not write it down. LOL. I didn't do it and trying to retrieve the number isn't easy. I just called their reservation line and they can't find an account for me, yet when i log in I can see some of my past reservations. Their solution was to log in and create a new profile and write down the number. I have an upcoming stay this weekend so I'm going to hold on creating a new profile and just ask the desk if they can pull up my number.
As far as benefits go, I don't know what they are. If I get more info this weekend, I'll update this thread.

Thanks for the email.
I was able to get one of these: http://www.hotelchatter.com/story/2010/6/14/11859/6122/hotels/This_is_What_You_Get_as_a_Morgans_Hotel_Group_Glob al_Cardholder
which has good benefits per hotel stay, and useful if you go out a lot, but isn't exactly what I was thinking of when I made this thread.

I recently received that card too and will use it next week-end when checking in at the Sanderson hotel in London.
Have you used the card? Did it live up to your expectations or what they advertise?

I'm back from my week-end at the Sanderson where I used my Morgans Hotel Group Global Card for the first time. I, unfortunately, felt like the staff couldn't care less that I was a global card holder.
No upgrade at checkin although they still had available suites on their website.
We were denied a 3:30pm late checkout (they offered 2pm after a lot of talk...). Once again, I checked on their website and our room category was still available for the same night so it's not like they couldn't offer it because it was already booked (which is what we were told...).
The only perk we received was complimentary internet access but said internet was very slow and non working at times.
I thought that holding a global card could make me switch some of my travels to non-Amex-FHR Morgans Hotel group properties but it definitely won't.

I had the complete opposite experience at the Mondiran in LA (West Hollywood). I showed up after dinner a little after 10pm. I was offered my choice of three different suites (choice of floor and direction faced). The room was fantastic and quite large. The guy standing next to me at check-in (he also had the card) asked me about how I had received it and was a bit frustrated that I got it free while he'd spent > $40k at Mondrian properties the year prior.
I was also phoned a few times to make sure anything I needed was being taken care of. At checkout, Wi-Fi for two devices was refunded and the total cost was $100 + tax (~$120 total).
Finally, just for fun I decided to try and get into Skybar (their bar/club) on a Saturday night while there was a line. The people in front of me were being told "Sorry we're only admitting people with reservations for tables" but after pulling out the Morgans card the bouncer asked the other group to step aside and offered to escort us inside. Both myself and my fiancé felt quite special.

So sorry all!
I negotiated for the card when I booked a room at one of the properties (because I needed to stay there for 2 full months). I've returned to a few of them over the past year and I have always received a welcome gift (usually champagne), a fantastic room, daily paper, free internet.
I had no idea about the 10PM perk. I don't recall hearing about that.
Fred, your experience sounds very unfortunate. Hopefully you will fare better at another location.

I'm glad to see that this card seems to deliver what it promises for you guys. I might give it another try but my last experience made me feel like there was not much value to it (I did not receive any welcome gift either. A bottle of champagne would have been nice indeed!)
It's hard though to consider giving it another shot and choose a Morgans Property over an Amex FHR or Starwood or Hilton where I have status...

When you booked your hotel using your global card, did you book directly with the hotel, or did you call the global card number? I was given one of these a few years ago, but I've since moved, and never received a new one. Not even sure if it's still valid. If someone could PM me the global card line phone number, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.
