Fairmont President's Club - non-working Fairmont website

For two days in the Toronto area (Nov 9 and 10 2010) I have not been able to make a reservation, nor gain access to my President's club account. When I try to make a reservation I cannot go beyond step three on the reservation page. At that point it comes up "we are experiencing technical difficulties." I have sent e-mails to their web manager and made phone calls, but no one wants to do anything about this. I know it is not my computer, as their site does not work both at home and at work. As well, a friend living in Mississauga Ont. is experiencing the same problem.
I know I can make a reservation by phone, but I much prefer to use the Internet. Does anyone else have this problem?

I do not own an iPhone or Blackberry. However when I sent an e-mail to the President's Club in Moncton N.B. they said an upgrade certificate would be put in my file.
As far as I can tell this appears to be a local problem in the greater Toronto area, since in Moncton the President's club person I spoke to on the phone yesterday says he was able to gain access in N.B. I just tried to make a reservation and tried to enter the Presidents Club site and as of 2:30 pm EST it was still not working.
Nobody at Fairmont has any idea when they will be up and running, nor will Fairmont even acknowledge that there is a problem.

No problems here. Have you tried using another web browser? (IME somethimes IE doesn´t display the site properly, sometimes Firefox has issues)

A friend of mine in this area tried Firefox, and it didn't work either. I didn't have any problem making a reservation using IE Monday or earlier, these problems just started yesterday (Tuesday the 9th).

I have had the same problem in the past few days. I sent an e-mail to the Webmaster and they have declined to reply to me. It doesn't matter whether I use Firefox or IE. At least their phones work!

I think Fairmont's problem is getting worse. A friend of mine also living in Mississauga has the same problem, and again today Thursday 11 Nov, it is still impossible to make a reservation from Toronto.
I also have a special friends and family rate, and when I put in the code, it gave me the lower rate for the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa. Since I can't make a reservation on-line, I called Fairmont's 1-800 # in Moncton and they said this rate does not exist, and therefore I could not book it. I replied then why does it show up in my computer, and the agent simply replied that this rate does not exist. I just hung up as I was getting nowhere.
Blast Fairmont for their terrible on-line non-service. If I didn't like the Chateau Laurier so much I would take my business somewhere else.

Finally after three days in Toronto the Fairmont website is working again. What is most annoying is that I lost out on a cheap F&F rate. When I went back on-line to reserve a room at the Chateau Laurier, the F&F rate when from about $220 to $280. Perhaps I should demand they give me the lower rate. Ha Ha

I spoke too soon. Although I could make a reservation for a short time yesterday (11 Nov), today Friday the 12th it won't work again.
I give up on Fairmont.

Website is inconsistent.. plus its down for maintenance alot.

I finally received a low F&F rate at the Chateau Laurier by using a public library computer. That computer worked just fine. I wonder if it is a Bell sympatico problem, as I still can't get beyond step 3 in the reservations page on my computer, nor can a friend of mine who also has Bell Sympatico.

To be sure always try your computer, laptop, or blackberry.. if at work and on a break, try the company computer or another computer conveniently accessible.
