Wyndham Rewards - www.hojo.com changed booking creates new reservation?
I made a booking on www.hojo.com and opened this booking later in order to change the dates (same hotel).
I got a new reservation number for the new dates and - I'm almost sure that I checked this later - the "old" reservation number wasn't online anymore later (message "reservation couldn't be found" or so).
What happend now?
The hotel (Hojo Huaihu lu Shanghai) charged me a no-show of 1 night (200 USD) for the first reservation which I thought I have modified to the new date?
Is it possible that you cannot modify reservations on hojo.com but you will just create a new one every time. you need to manually delete/cancel the old reservation?
Stupid system isn't it?
Any recommendations how to get be 200 bucks back?

Yes just got a message that this issue is escalated to the hotel General Manager in Shanghai.
I just wanted to know if my assumption can be confirmed by any other's experience: if you want to change a reservation you need to manually cancel the original reservation "change" means for Hojo.com to create a new reservation and the system doesn't delete the original reservation in this case?

Hello - The website should have allowed the reservation change. Was Customer Care able to assist you with how or why this happened? If not, I would like to look into this further for you. Can you send me a private message with your confirmation numbers? Thank you!
