This is a email I sent to Avis Israel today, and this is their response!

My letter:

Dear Sir

Further to our telephone conversation, I'd appreciate if you could investigate my missing points from reservation document no. .......... car was picked up in Haifa on 12 Aug and returned at Ben Gurion airport on 13 Aug.

My reservation includes the frequent flyer no. of my Qantas airways account QF/.........., and the points haven't been credited to my account, while points from my reservations dated 07 Aug. (rental agreement .......... and 13 Aug. (pick up at Ben Gurion airport delivered 14 Aug.) have been credited 10 weeks ago.

You told me that you have no partnership with any other airline exept ELAL, which is completely false as I've earned points with Qantas through Avis rentals over 10 times in the last few months including twice in Israel, I herby also include links both from Avis and Qantas websites confirming your partnership
http://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyn/partners/car
http://www.avis.com/car-rental/content/partner.ac?navId=T4M07S01

Thanks for your kind help

Avis response:
Dir ...........
In israel we work only with EL-AL
I check it out we don't work whit them in Israel.

Can anybody confirm if they have earned airline points (except ELAL) in Israel, or perhaps encountered this claim that they have no other airline partners?
Any advise how to proceed will be appreciated.

I agree, something suspicious is going on here. Why would you receive credit 10 weeks ago for rentals completed approximately 4 weeks ago?

What sounds suspicious to me is that most Israelis speak & write English better than that. That response looks like it came from someone in Newark, NJ.

try crediting the miles to another program

or

fax your receipt to qantas showing your qantas info (under the cc imprint you should be able to see your qantas number), or just go to avis .com and look up your receipt

Corrected, it was Aug. not Oct. (over tiredness kicking in).
