US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Expiry Date on US Airways Club Passes

I have two US Airways Club Passes that I received in my 2000 Silver and Gold kits. I have a club membership, so I've not used them. They say on the back that they are only valid through 28 February 2001. Does anyone know if they care about that date? Or can I use the pass even after it says it expires?? I've been saving them to give to friends/family members who might be able to use them, but I'll be sure to get rid of them by 2/28 if it's really necessary. Thanks.

I tried using a 1999 pass in March 2000 at the US Airways club in Orlando. I was denied entrance-they told me the passes were expired and thus not usable. Hope this helps somewhat.

Strictly speaking - they expire on 2/28. You could chance it and get an agent who either doesn't look at the exp. date, or is sympathetic and lets you in.

btw - are those one-time passes fully transferable, or do they actually check to see that you've got membership in the club if someone tries to use the coupon you were sent? The coupon says that it can be given to someone else if you're already a member of the club.

I won't be in the U.S. before mine expires 2/28, and would prefer to give it to a relative who would be flying before then.
I also notice it asks the user to fill in their name AND DM# - is DM membership required? Do they need to be flying on US the same day?

Yonatan, Every time I have used the complimentary passes I haven't been asked to write my name and DM# on them (but I do so anyways, b/c I figure if they're going to take it from me, I'm not going to let anyone else use it). Also no one has checked to se if I was flying US that day.

I pretty much think that the pass lets the holder in. Plain and simple.

Fully transferrable. They are sold on E-bay all the time.
