Orlando - military discount

For all those who are employed in the military, civilian DOD, reserves, guard, retired, etc.
Disney is offering tickets for $138 for 4 days including either park hoping or water parks and more. This is much cheaper than the nirmal 4 day ticket. There are some blackout weeks: easter, christmas and 4th of July at the magic kngdom. but this is a good deal.

I know that Military members have been known to be given complimentary parking as well, just show the auto plaza your ticket card.

That one is new to me!

The last time I was there a friend and I decided to go to the ESPN Club at the Boardwalk to have dinner and watch a game. We were all set to pay for parking at the resort, but the gate guard asked if we were military (I guess the haircuts are a real giveaway). We told him yes, and he asked to see an ID just to be sure, then he said that parking was free at all Disney venues for active or retired military. I told him that I had never heard that before and he said it was a long-standing but not well-publicized policy, then he added that nearly all the gate guards are former military themselves so they "take care of their own"!
