Hello,

I am about to get on a project where I will be traveling between CLT and LAX every week. Does anyone know if the equipment that flies out there has power hookups for laptops in Coach?

Thanks
YH

Just make sure you're on a A-319 or A-320. These have been fitted with the SkyPower sockets.

All of US Airways Airbus aircraft (A319, A320, A330) have laptop power ports at every seat. No other aircraft types do.

CLT-LAX will be either an A319, A320, or 757. The first two will have powerports, but the latter will not.

You'll need to get an adaptor, but once you do, its a good buy, as it is "universal" (you can use it on any airline that has the powerports).

Unfortunately the times I need are not Airbus. Is there any plan to add these ports on 757s?

No I highly doubt they will add power ports to any of their older planes.

Nope. Your only hope is that they start running these routes with A-321s - if they ever get them.... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

I hear the A-321 deliveries are starting early next year. The f/a trining for the 321 is underway.

You could always join their club (added bonus miles see link below) and re-charge your battery while you are in Charlotte and also Los Angeles.

I always carry 2 batteries.

Sure, but under the assumption that you're flying US Airways, not United Airways....

I'd be willing to bet that if there is approval, US will immediately announce its intention to drop the remaining A-321 and A-330 deliveries.
