Hi FlyerTalkers!

A colleague and I will both be near LAX for the day, and wanted to find a good place for us to work together during the day before our flights.

Starbucks and FedEx Kinko's are options, but both can be a bit loud with lots of traffic. Ideally, we'd like to work out of a business center near a hotel, something like an Admiral's Club or Red Carpet Club, but neither of us have lounge access.

Please let me know if you have know of any good hotel business centers near LAX. Things we are looking for:

1. Easy access to power outlets.
2. Good cell phone reception.
3. Good reception for our broadband aircards.
4. Good space for us (i.e. either desks or tables)
5. Food options close by - either hotel restaurant or restaurants close by

Thanks,
AAP

Many airline clubs will sell one day passes but unfortunately they're usually on the sterile side & it's usually not worth the effort to get to them. There is one lounge in the non-sterile area...ReLAX in the Tom Bradley terminal. It's probably not worth the $, but is open to the public for $30 for 3 hrs or $50 all day. Free WiFi and public access computers, typical low end complementary snacks and sodas and a $ wine/beer bar. Free access if you have Priority Pass and a few $ off if you have a JCB credit card.

I'd also look for a Barnes & Noble bookstore as a free option.

How about a quick cab ride to the El Segundo Public Library? http://library.elsegundo.org/

I understand it is very nice.

They'd "shush" him (or ask him to step out) for using a cell phone... ;)

Pricelining a hotel in the immediate vicinity would be my option.

You could try Barrister Executive Suites (http://www.barristersuites.com/5757century.php), 5757 W. Century, near the Marriott, Hilton, and Westin hotels, and also near Fedex Kinko's and Carl's Jr.

I'm sure they have conference rooms for short term rental, and that they have a break room with coffeemakers/microwave oven.

Probably too late for OP but:

REGUS has an El Segundo location:

And if you are a Priority Club member you can become a member for free:

Does the "Business Lounge Access" with Priority Club membership allow access to showers in those locations that have them?

Thanks for the tip on Regus. Was not able to use it for the LAX trip, but I'm leaving for a 3 week international trip and this could come in VERY handy!
