SkyTeam - BizElite lounges or Skyteam lounges a la LHR?

It's a been a few years since the BE lounges were converted to Skyclub lounges. What are the probabilities that Delta will reintroduce BE-only lounges or work with Skyteam to bring LHR-style lounges to ATL, DTW, LAX, and JFK?

If such lounges were to come back what style of services should they have and what should the admission rules be like (ie admit or don't admit Skyteam elites)?

A great way to play armchair management consultant!

Highly doubtful they'd come back.

At LHR, you have all the ST carriers in one place and none of them are especially dominant. At ATL, it's pretty much all Delta save for a couple of AF or KE flights. DTW has only the one AF flight - no need for a large ST lounge when a DL-operated lounge is sufficient.

JFK has Delta in their own facilities (though it sounds like KLM will be joining them in the new T4); AF/KE/AM are in their own place in T1. LAX is spread out as well, with AF/KL at T2, KE/AM (and I think the Chinas) at TBIT, DL at T5/6.

The thing you will see happening is the refreshing of the DL SkyClub product - LAX has been fully redone; JFK will be getting a new SC in T4 once those renovations are done; there are likely to be 2 new SCs in ATL in the next few years (Concourses D and F) - as it was mentioned by Tim Mapes during the Q&A last week, Delta's priority now with SCs is refreshing the current products to bring them to a higher standard.
