EL AL Matmid - ELAL's Join Quick Connect initiative @ JFK
Hello Everyone,
ELAL's joining the Quick Connect initiative at JFK, Which means any pax which have a connection flight in less than 3 hours from landing should contact the ELAL ground staff at the end of the jet bridge and holding a red sign saying "Quick Connect" and will be redirect to special immigration counters which are designated for such need and allow faster process (less people on line).

Excellent news!
I think they finally realised how much money they were losing because of people missing their connections.

This is not an El Al initiative, but something the terminal operator is offering. It is open to all carriers at the terminal. There is a specific criteria that a passenger must fit into to get the service. US Customs and Border Protection will be performing random checks of passengers on line to ensure compliance.

Would you happen to know what these criteria are?

An LY flight into JFK + connecting flight with connection of less than 3 hours made through LY. OR, made through the same airline that gave you the LY booking (such as AA and soon to be B6)

Cheers.
Is there an official document or announcement somewhere, or are these just rumors?
