This is a press release, hence I hope I can quote without the FlyerTalk Police dragging me to FlyerTalk Jail:

ARLINGTON, Va., March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- US Airways flights to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa, and West Palm
Beach will operate under the banner of MetroJet from New York City's close-in LaGuardia Airport beginning May 7. Starting
June 11, US Airways' LaGuardia-Jacksonville service also will be flown by MetroJet.

(I bet they are doing it to more effectively compete against JetBlue and catch the leisure market. Of course, with the pending strike, who knows if there will even be a USAirways at that time...)

I've been gone for a while, but now I am back!

OH MY GOD!

US Airways must really be beginning to hate me. My beloved TPA-LGA flights that I'm on almost weekly are turning into, dare I say it, METROJET!

I already connect to fly to BOS, now I'm going to have to do it to fly to LGA.

Tell me it isn't so! The gals at the TPA US Airways Club gave me no warning!

And I still haven't received my 2000 CP pack with the upgrades!

Heh, sorry buddy. It's unfortunate most airlines consider Florida a leisure, low yield market.. and with the pressures of JetBlue it was only a matter of time. I guess we'll see you coming through CLT more often!

As per the CP packet people started receiving them just a little over a week ago.. I'd give it a bit longer...

BTW, USAirways often offers $118 R/T fares from CMH-TPA but they were always restricted to Metrojet. One day, I believe someone forgot to key in that restriction. I booked it that day, connecting through CLT. <grin> It was gone the next day. What luck!
