When we went to retrieve our car on Level 4 at Central Parking, several of the rows were "parked in" by cars parked perpendicular to the normal parking spaces. Fortunately, there was no one parked in front of us, but had pretty much everyone else blocked in in our row and nearby rows. Is this some sort of spillover valet parking going on? Anyone know anything about this?

I decided to call Logan's parking office to see what was up. You can imagine the hold time on that call. When I did get someone, I was told that those cars are valet-parked short-term parking. If a customer is parked in and blocked by one of the vehicles, it is necessary to call the parking office (the CSR said the number is on the ticket) and someone will come and move it.

I guess that gives new meaning to "long-term parking" and makes a quick departure from the lot a bit more of a challenge.

She did say that it is worse on Level 4 and on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Be warned.

Usually when they block in cars, they have employees easily assessable to help you out. Sometimes they'll even have a desk set up in the corridors leading from the terminals to the garage.

Thank you for that very helpful additional information. We did see a flashing yellow light a few rows away and were going to head over there if we had been blocked. But we didn't see anything or anyone in the corridors.
