I am *A gold and also have Continental President Club access card.
Flying Austrian metal on AF code from CDG to Vienna and back on AF metal/flight.

1. Which lounge can I access in CDG since Austrian is a skyteam? The only Skyteam lounge I know is in Terminal 1
2. Do I have lounge access in Vienna using my CO PC card? I should not have access using the *A gold card since I am flying AF

Austrian is Star Alliance but at CDG it flies out of Terminal 2D, which is largely Air France (also Air Europa and a few others). There is no Star Alliance lounge in Terminal 2D at CDG, so I doubt you will be granted access to the AF lounge. If you were a SkyTeam elite, you may be granted access to the AF lounge based on that (since flying on an AF flight #).

I'm not sure about access to the Vienna Senator or Business lounge. Does a CO PC card usually give you access to Star Alliance (non-CO) lounges when not flying a Star Alliance carrier?

thank you for your response.
I meant to say that Austrian is a *A and not in Skyteam, sorrry about that.
I figured I would not get lounge access in CDG since I did not see that Austrian has its own lounge.
I just thought that having *A gold, I should have access to lounge access if flying an international (CDG-VIENNA) flight. On the other hand if it is a contracted lounge many time we do not get access.
I do not see any lounge in vienna that would accept my PC card.
thanks again

When I was flying out of VIE in Y with an AF ticket but flying on OS metal, I was granted access to OS's C lounge with my FB Plat card. So if you had M&M, I guess that'd be ok. But given that you have a CO's card, the situation might be different indeed.

Indeed it was different.
I checked in and the lady was very nice.
I asked for a lounge pass and she said she did not have any but to just go to the lounge and tell them I am *A gold; I know better than that but could not do anything else.
I went to the lounge; he scanned my boarding pass and told me he cannot allow me in because the lounge is no longer contracted with Continental (I had given my CO onepass but not sure how he knew about this); I told him I am flying a star alliance airline, have gold status in *A and would like to have access; He scanned the ticket again, looked at his screen and say NO, and now the reason is because I had bought the ticket via AF website and not directly from Austrian; I tried to explain that it does not matter because I am flying a *A aircraft bla bla bla bla the same story and in true French manner he got upset and said I cannot enter the lounge in a rather loud voice.
I walked out.

Now; on the way back there is an Austrian lounge which should admit me as *A gold but the issue is that I am flying AF metal; what are the chances that they will overlook this "minor detail"?

The lounge agent was right: your card would only be good if you were flying on a *A ticket - which was not the case. I would antecipate that the same might happen at VIE, not because you'll be flying on AF metal, but because you'll be flying on an AF ticket.

Thank you [B]tff[B]; I am so used to agents at airports and lounges making up their own rules and stories that I am usually very skeptical of anything they say.
He was speaking to me in English and his tone was maybe due to that; When we speak to people who do not speak our language we tend to raise our voice.

An update:

Flew back from Vienna to Paris on AF; Continental website says I can enter the Austrian lounge with my PC card regardless of *A level (I happen to have gold); tried to get in and was told, very politely and much nicer than the guy in Paris, that I cannot since I am not flying a *A airline; I tried to explain that I want to enter based on my PC paid membership but she insisted that I am not flying a *A airline; I was offered to go in with a 35 Euro charge; I politely declined.
