Hi,

i'm planning on using a one-way ticket from Sao Paulo to Montevideo, as I intend to head on to Argentina by using the ferry. Will this be an issue with Uruguay immigration if I'm arriving as a foreigner with a one way ticket?
Or is taking a ferry between Montevideo and Buenos Aires not recommended by fellow FTers anyway?

Thanks

I would imagine that flying in and ferry out isn't an uncommon thing. If you have a ferry reservation, just have it handy upon arrival should anyone ask.

Ferry is a common and easy way to travel between the two cities. I would highly recommend making an advance reservation as there are only two a day.

If time permits...I would contact Uruguay Immigration on issue before trip.

If you have proof of onwards transportation from Uruguay, Uruguay will not be your problem, Argentina will....

What do you mean??? Its perfectly fine. But, on the way over to Uruguay, it was pretty rough, my first time ever seasick!

Its a simple enough process, if not Montevideo, try Colonia, there is Buquebus and Colonia Express.
