South - Distance From RDU To Carmike Park Place 16 Morrisville NC

(Note to Mods: I'm aware that the logical home for this question is Travel - U.S. South; however, I'd ask your kind indulgence to let it sit in AAdvantage for an hour or two, as activity by RDU fliers is much more frequent here than in the South fourm. Thanks for your consideration).

Can a RDU-area member tell me the approximite distance to, and travel time between, the airport and the above-named theater? Thanks for your help!

used to live in Durham and was in Cary quite often...I'd say 10 mins..its really quite close and I can't imagine too much traffic on airport blvd

If you are just settling into a taxi when exiting Terminal 2, I would say ~15 minutes...add 5-10 more if attempting between 4-6pm in the afternoon. Google Maps puts at it just under 7 miles, and it's an easy route..Airport Blvd out of the airport, then a left on Hwy 54 until you reach the theater.

Thought for a moment that the question would be asking where the AA call center is located in Morrisville/Cary. I work in the RTP area and have always wondered if I'm driving by the AAngel I happen to speaking with at the EXP desk.

I hope you're doing a MR to go see a movie! :cool:Not an MR per se - the Carmike is one of maybe 100 theaters in the U.S. showing a "moviecast" - a live relay from Barcelona's Liceu of the new Calixto Bieito production of Carmen. No theater in Florida except in the Keys was showing it, so I looked around and Morrisville was the closest location with seemingly quick connections.

The info you and the other FTers had provided shows that I should be able to do it as a "surgical strike" - up (from MIA) and back in the same day.

Just curious, is there a specific reason you're headed to Morrisville?
