I know they do not work with priceline, but do they affiliate with any similar websites, and if so are the rates ever cheaper?
Best wishes,

Usually the rates really aren't any better since you have the restrictions with Travelocity about prepaying on their best rates. I used it a long time for a stay there. I was going during our july 4 weekend and for some reason no hotels were available in the area on marriott.com, bestwestern.com, etc. I found out when I arrived AA was having some kind of convention in that area and I think that is why, but Travelocity did have the BW primrose and the deal I got was acceptable seeing I couildn't book on bw.com. I think the travel sites must have had room blocks. A few days before I checked and them and the courtyard both had rooms released on the hotels site for similar rates as travelocity. Well, I just kindof researched it for myself today as well. I "named my own price" with priceline.com for a 3 star hotel in los angelos near disneyland. I got a 3.5 star hotel the doubletree inn, for $49 per night. It is a Hilton Honors hotel. The normal price on hiltons websight is $100 per night. I called to get my pts and they would not give pts because of the discount, but I think I like the 45% discount better lol jamesteroh Oct 8, 10, 7:35 am Yeah the discounts can be nicer if you aren't an elite with the program and know for sure you will be there. With Hilton properties though, I am a diamond, and while I could save more through priceline I like being assured I will be at a hilton property and the benefits. Right now Hilton has a promo for every 10 paid nights you get a certificate for 1 free night and I use those free nights in properties like the NYC doubletree in times square when the rates are very high (I am using 2 of them for new years eve and 100K points for the other two nights and the total stay would have been over $7K if I was paying it myself so the priceline savings wouldn't have paid there). I also like having the free breakfast, free internet and a lot of time I like a late checkout and hilton will always give me a 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. checkout but if you are on priceline you are lucky to get 1/2 hour extended checkout. With Hilton I was told on priceline that if you give the front desk you HHonors card to the clerk and charge an incidental like a soda to your room sometimes the stay and airlines miles post and sometimes they will give you the breafkast vouchers or upgrade you. My problem with Priceline is if my flight cancels and then I am on the hook. With Hilton I have had flights cancel twice to NYC and didn't fly out until the next day and both times I just called the diamond desk and explained the situation and they asked for the flight info and when they verified it was cancelled told me I could check in the next day and didn't charge me for the first night. The savings there would have been cancelled out on priceline seeing I would have had to have paid for the room. Well, I just kindof researched it for myself today as well.
