Southwest Rapid Rewards - new Flight Status web page

It's nice to be able to check flight status for yesterday, today and tomorrow. ^

Not so nice you can only check by departure city. No longer is the option to check on a flight by the arrival city and flight number available. Therefore, I can't easily determine where inbound Vegas flight WN358 originated from. :td:

UPDATED TO ADD, using Flight Aware I determined that WN358 goes both westbound and eastbound across the country. I just find it strange for the same flight number to do this: WN358: MHT-MDW, MDW-OAK, OAK-BUR, BUR-LAS, LAS-BWI

And my peeve: Why is it that when I am on my itinerary for a flight and there is a link for flight status, when I click it it goes to a new page without taking the flight number with it. I have to press "back" get the flight number (as I am too lazy to get my paperwork out) and then go forward to enter it.:(

I wished the WN flight status also included connecting flight info.

If I checked on an MDW-BUR itinerary (with a connection/plane change in PHX), I only see the MDW flight departure and the BUR arrival...it would be nice to have at least the gate info for PHX.

flight stats (http://www.flightstats.com/go/Home/home.do) and
flightaware (http://flightaware.com/) are also your friends. I never use the airline website.

Go to flightstats. You can do a search on a specific airport and a specific airline. It will tell you all flights coming into that airport at which gates. Find the flight coming into your gate 25 minutes before your flight.

The upgrade broke my bookmarks that gave status for several flights in separate tabs. Now I have to do a lot more clicking to get this information, and I can't just Reload All Tabs. :(

Now, about signing up for flight status notification: it could be nice if you could be automatically signed up for it for all your flights, but I prefer to go to the PDF schedules and find out if the flight is continuing, and sign up for the flight status of the arrival of the inbound, rather than my departure. With the recent change I also need to note where that arrival comes from and select that when signing up for notification.

OTOH, it is nice that they no longer have "pager" as the default notification device, and they let you simply ask for a text to the phone number rather than convert the number to an e-mail address.
