Spain/Portugal/Gibraltar - Holiday closures in Barcelona?

Hi,

I will be in Barcelona October 10 - 13 and I read that Oct 12 is a holiday. I was wondering if anyone knows if the museums and Gaudi sights will be closed that day, or is it typically just shops that close? I was thinking of going to Montserrat that day but I'm not sure if the monastery will be closed either. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Oct. 12 - Spanish National Day (Día de la Hispanidad — commemorates Columbus' arrival in the New World, parades, some closures)

Oct. 10 is a Sunday, so some things may be closed then also. I remember having to scavenge a meal from gas station offerings one Sunday, as I couldn't find anything else open.
