Paint Horse Sep 30, 10, 9:31 am When I went through about this time last year. You placed your own bags on the belt for the X-ray machine on entering the terminal. Then you checked them at the ticket counter. Next was two or three separate checks of the hand baggage as you walked to the gate. We did this at about 1 am so the airport was busy, but not packed. The total time did not seem excessive, just the number of stops inside the terminal. B747-437B Sep 30, 10, 9:36 am Which terminal? Paint Horse Sep 30, 10, 11:51 am Is the procedure much different? We were in F on BA by the way. There are a few airlines in T1 where you don't need to pass initial security before getting to the check-in counters. The same applies for EK in T3. As for T2, well... :D Also, if you were flying in Y without status to India, you'd want to be at the airport really quite early. Those queues are nasty. |
