Choice Privileges - Transfering miles to somebody else's US account

I wanted to transfer 5k CP to other people's US accounts for Grand Slam and was wondering if it would work. The choice site says I can only transfer to myself and my experience with transferring CP to SW RR was that it automatically transferred to my SW account somehow even though I gave them somebody else's account number and not mine.

Anyone done this? SPG -> somebody else's US account works despite proclamations on their website to the contrary so I was hopeful.

How I read the t&c it doesnt require name match. Anyone please correct.
I have never used Choice, but I heard there is some small print on the tranfer page requiring this.

What about people that have bought points to help out their family with grand slam transfers? They would not know anything about this regulation before its too late.

Earned points, a little bit different, but still nothing (clear) in the t&c.
