So, after posting the previous comment about a great BW property, my wife walks in with the mail and reminds me of another good point about BW.
Per previous threads, I have big problems with how BW recognises Diamonds (i.e. they mostly don't).
But lo and behold, I am now holding 2 free night vouchers because of the BW 'summer promotion'.
I thought back, and I reckon I've earned probably 4 free nights this year, quite separately from the points I already earn.
Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places, but this never happens with HIlton that I know of, and never happened to me as a Marriott plat either. All in all, quite a worthwhile and underappreciated benefit.
Cheers,
Paul.

As a Marriott Plat, my current quarterly MegaBonus offer is a free night every other stay, up to two free nights, in addition to regular points.
But yes, BW seems to be doing better lately. The fact that these certs are easily transferrable is another great bonus.

Hilton had 1 for every 4 stays or 10 nights, hyatt had everyother stay unlimited, IC has everyother stay right now, marriott has done several similar promos as well.
Only difference is the other chains has electronic vouchers that are easy to use, wheras I have to call and wait 2 months from when I got my first BW voucher to the second. In fact I better call today and check these expire on xmas.

I agree it was a great promo and was very easy to get the 2 free nights if you travel a lot.
However Hilton has a similar promo going on right now and had one Q1 and Q2. Q1 and Q2 was a voucher for a free night for every four stays or every 10 nights. The current promo right now is a free night for every 10 paid nights between the date you registered (which I believe I did in mid or late august) through the end of the year.
The nice thing about hiltons is you get a certificate emailed to you right away and don't have to wait for it to arrive in the mail or worry about it getting lost.
I wish they would bring back the promo of a southwest credit for every $100 BW gift card. That promo got me compainion pass status on WN.

What I liked is that I was able to combine the one night free for two nights with a 1000 AA miles bonus and with bonus miles for BW travelcard. All together I got 2500 AA miles and a one night voucher for staying just two nights at a BW.

I combined promos as well. There was a promo where if you bought a $100 gift card and stayed this summer using it you got 5,000 bonus points which made for a great two stays:)

BW rewards program aint as great as other hotel programs out there. I still haven't received the 2 free night vouchers for the summer stays, called couple of times and every time you get the standard answer - " It takes 6-8 weeks" to send it to you.
Hope they compete with other programs and attract many travellers:)

I haven't received mine yet either. I called the number on my card last week and was told they were showing the certificate was requested a few weeks ago and that a third party sends them out and it takes four to six weeks and to call back in mid October if I hadn't received it yet. I think the certs are only good through 12/31 and I want it for a november trip.
While it was a great promo, I hate they mail the certs out. Why can't they just email them like Hilton? It is a lot more convenient for the member since they would have the voucher right away to use and have it in electronic form they could save so it wouldn't get lost and there would be no risk of it getting lost or stolen in the mail. It also seems like it would save BW a lot of money, even if they had a third party do in just printing and postage costs not to mention having to take calls from members that haven't received their certs yet wondeing where they are.
