I just arrived on OZ236 from Seoul. Our plane was escorted to the gate from the runway by at least two police cars and a CPB vehicle.

On exiting the flight, there were two CBP officers examining passports, looking for something. When they found him, they escorted him to baggage claim and were held his passport. Once he claimed his baggage, he and the two agents went off into an office.

My wife told me that there were police busses at T5 as well.

I don't see anything on any of the local news sites. Was anyone else there who saw anything?

A single person being detained isn't going to make the news. Probably had an outstanding warrant or something.

Probably if he had already arrest warrant out there. He is trying to come into USA illegally. I don't see any evidence against him. What is reason why the man who came into USA without proper permissions from CBP approvals. Maybe if he is fugitives from the laws.

I overheard some of the conversation between the man and the CBP agents as they were escorting him to baggage claim. They were being extremely polite to him. If he had an outstanding arrest warrant, why wouldn't they just take him into custody on the spot?

Maybe he was on the list of people to be denied entrance to the US and they were going to put him back on the next flight back to Seoul. He was flying in the business cabin with me. I don't remember anything exceptional about him during the flight.

Or perhaps he was a VIP dignitary, perhaps a special Korean government envoy being escorted to a private meeting about the N. Korea crisis at Obama's Kenwood home.

(ok, now that I've posted this wild-a**ed theory on the Internets Tubes, it will be picked up and googled and twittered and blogged and pretty soon Fox News with have a "special" report about it).

Actually, I thought he was a VIP at first because the CPB folks were being so polite. But when he was waiting for his baggage, the CBP still had his passport. I don't think they would do that if he was a VIP.

I hope you get your wish about the news special ... maybe we could see someone from CNN interviewing Mr Gargoyle, their "Special FT Correspondent" ;)

once had quite a few police cars greet our flight from ORD-ATL when Louis Farrakhan was on board, I had 1B, Louis had 2B, I'm not sure if he would have liked the bulkhead or not as he wasn't in a very social mood.
