I posted this over in the Delta forum as ideas for grub during the upcoming Delta DO, but figured other foodies simply visiting ATL might appreciate the info. So, for what it's worth, here it is!

TOP CHEF RESTAURANTS

Atlanta's been fortunate to be featured in Top Chef rather prominently, and here's a handful of what we have to offer.

Tom Collichio (Top Chef - head judge)
Chef / Owner Craft and CraftBar - http://www.craftrestaurant.com/
Seasonal and regional food inspired by local ingredients.

Richard Blaise (Top Chef: Chicago - finalist)

Head chef / Owner FLIP restaurant - http://www.flipburgerboutique.com/
A gourmet burger joint that is sooooo yummy. (Full disclosure: I also take all my tourist family and friends here for the atmosphere and food.)

Tracey Bloom (Top Chef: DC)

Head chef - Table 1280 - http://www.opentable.com/table-1280
Full service American brasserie-inspired dishes and the Tapas Lounge

Kevin Gillespie (Top Chef: Las Vegas - finalist)

Executive Chef - Woodfire Grill - http://www.woodfiregrill.com/index.php
Seasonally influenced, ingredient-focused cuisine; the menu changes daily and features fresh local ingredients.

Hector Santiago (Top Chef: Las Vegas)

Owner/ Chef - Pura Vida Tapas - http://www.puravidatapas.com/
Tapas inspired by flavors and ingredients from Latin America and Spain.

Eli Kirshtein (Top Chef: Las Vegas)
Was at Eno but left early this year to try out a gig in NYC. I'm sure the food is still good.

And while not Top Chef, Kevin Rathburn won Iron Chef America and is Owner / Chef of Kevin Rathburn Steak - http://www.kevinrathbunsteak.com/. It's steak.[/QUOTE]

Since cross-posting is not allowed on FlyerTalk (and, as noted, this has already been posted here http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/14282942-post584.html), and since restaurant recommendations for a particular locale are to be posted in the appropriate geographic forum rather than in Dining Buzz (per http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/diningbuzz/577802-please-read-before-you-post.html), I am going to both move this to the South forum, and close.
