Washington D.C. (including Baltimore) - United isn't the only airline with a wacky commuter terminal.

Yesterday in IAH on CO (CX?).
Landed via RJ to what I would call a Barn. Walked VERY long hall to the terminal and walked pretty far to anther RJ area. Flight had a gate change, walked from B62A to B76A, where we were told to return to B62A. No place to sit, reminded me of IAD A gates for RJs but more gates and more people per gate.
A at IAD and F Gates at ORD are my least favorite places to connect, post merger my list will include B at IAH.

That was not a barn! It is an abandonded bus terminal from a third world country. It is the armpit of IAH!

The IAH B gates are even more annoying than either the IAD or ORD commuter gates, as IAH places even more RJ flights out of them, and has the "Barn" as one gate, while the rest of the gates are normal gates with no seating for full flights. At least ORD and IAD don't have the barn, just some outside walking that is relatively short. Really, the barn is closer to DL's JFK or SLC commuter gates

Coming into B-84 is definitely the worst setup out there. Not including that gate, I would rate the rest of the terminal a step above the pitiful A-gates of IAD.
It really is sad to see UA use IAD as a hub, C/D is an ugly terminal that has redefined the meaning of temporary, and A is just a dump when you can never tell who's announcing what.

Apparently, you're not alone:

Please... IAD A is infinitely better than the old IAD G which was a bus terminal. I still think UA should have sold opportunities to take a sledgehammer to G and they wouldn't have to had declare bankruptcy.
