Mid-Atlantic - Atlantic City Airport-Spirit...how early should I arrive?

I got a great fare to Florida and decided to take the plunge. I got a 7am flight out of Atlantic City's airport..how early should I arrive for a 7am flight...would 6 am cut it? I anticipate Atlantic City's airport is pretty small and not so busy...any expierences there?

I haven't flown out of ACY, but I did drive down there to check out the drive and airport. I live 20 mins closer to PHL, but the drive to ACY seemed easy. For me, I was able to take White Horse Road, and make a right turn on Tilton Rd. This to avoid all tolls - something that is not possible from S. Jersey into PHL. There was a convenience that a Wawa was right at White Horse Rd/Tilton intersection. Easy place to pick up coffee, and carry food for a flight.

It was very easy to park and walk up to the main entrance. I parked in short term but even the long term facility looked in short distance to the main entrance. Inside, they had a Hudson books and a small restaurant inside, and the security check in was right there.

I can't say for sure, but I think that would be plenty of time.

Arriving at 6 should be good enough. Had flights out of there twice when Westjet was flying there for awhile. One of the smallest airports I've been to. On both flights back to YYZ (Leaving at 9:30pm) I was able to return my rental, get my boarding pass, pass security and get to the gate in around 20 mins, I dont picture it being any different in the morning.

Does anyone know what the cost is for parking at ACY? Long and short term? And is the airport parking the only reasonable option for someone traveling with a wife and two toddlers?

I have always traveled out of PHL, and it would be a substantially longer drive to get to ACY, but I have heard great things about ACY (versus PHL), and now with Spirit offering some of these $19 fares to Tampa ($75 total round trip! includes all fees); I am thinking it might be worth the extra 60 minutes or so of travel time to fly in & out of ACY...

So anyone know what the parking charges are at ACY?

Economy lot is $9 a day...I believe the one right on site is only $13 a day. Way cheaper than parking at Newark Airport! ^
