Choice Privileges - Best "other" Choice points redemptions

So I've been accumulating those Choice Points for a while (now even more that I have the CC) and thinking about how to use them. (I'm not a heavy hitter so I'm looking at ending up with 20,000 or so points by the end of the year)

I know that redeeming them for free nights is almost always the best use of points in terms of value. But I am wondering what everyone thinks is the next best value.


Note this doesn't have to do with the FF credits, since apparently in order to have those you have to have your points automatically going into those credits rather than do a manual transfer. So I'm mainly talking about things you can redeem your points for. Last I checked you could get a $50 gift card for 16000 points. So, obviously not a great deal there...

Are there any good values hidden amongst the various redemption options? I thought someone once mentioned that there was a good transfer to Amtrak miles/points/credits... :)

I use mine to top up my Southwest Rapid Rewards. I am in the process of doing this within the next few days, as I am just a few credits short of a Rapid Rewards Award .

Bump. I need Amtrak miles. Any downside to transferring Choice points to AGR?

No downside as long as you use them promptly; amtrak often changes its terms and redemption rates, and there is always the risk the Federal government will make cutbacks to passenger rail.
