I have a one way Southwest frequent flyer award that I must use. However, I am finding it very expensive to get to Little Rock or Nashville airports.

Car rental are about $175 one way on a variety of companies. Bettie Bus shuttle to LIT is $175 ($100 per person if you have a group of 3). Car rental to BNA is similarly expensive.

It looks like $25 Greyhound then a taxi from North Little Rock is the cheapest.

Do you know of a cheaper car rental (having looked up Avis, Hertz, National, Budget)? Any other way to go?

:D Is there a Delta throwaway ticket (MEM-LIT-somewhere else)? I don't think so.

You thinking too logically. Think illogically.

The cheapest is the Greyhound bus as you mention. However, the taxi fare will be more than the bus fare. Say it is $35+$25=$60.

For just a little more, you can fly from MEM to another city. Check Air Tran's schedules and those cities will be cheap. Say Memphis to Milwaukee. You might get it for $59 or $89 + tax. That might put you closer to your destination.

The joys of MEM being your airport! I live here too, and its impossible to get anywhere cheap.

I have a DD that goes to Chattanooga, maybe you have a friend/neighbor that has a child that goes to MTSU and for 25 bucks, if they are going that way you could hitch a ride.

Just a thought...
