Hey there everybody,

My company just made reservations (without consulting me )for a trip to Moscow from Sept 25-Oct 2 and I'll be staying at the new Lotte Hotel Moscow. It sounds fairly nice, but i know very little about it. Does anyone have any experience with it? Also, is there any points plans with it??? So much money will be spent with them and i have no use for points with a S. Korean chain...I'd love if they had some program that i could at least translate to UA Miles.

Also, any suggestions on dining in the area around the embassy would be greatly appreciated...

I haven't stayed there, but a visiting co-worker is staying there right now and says it is extremely nice. It is connected to a very high-end mall and right on the garden ring road. The Smolenskaya metro is a 5 minute walk, as are the old and new Arbat.

No idea about points or plans, sorry.

The frequent stay scheme is detailed here:

There doesn't appear to be a way to transfer points but I can't see what the harm is in collecting points on the off chance that one day they might become transferrable.
It seems to grant some benefits during the stay too.
