Spain/Portugal/Gibraltar - Any recommendation for Barcelona Hotel?

Any recommendation for Barcelona Hotel? I have two days to spend in Barcelona. Need suggestions for Hotel near any attractions but should have easy access to airport.

Wife and I stayed at the Hotel Alexandra (http://www.hotel-alexandra.com/barcelonahotel/eng/index_eng.php) over New Years. Easy commute to the airport with train/metro and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Maybe a 10 minute walk down to Las Ramblas so you're close enough if you want to be part of that but far enough that you don't have to be. The property was nice and well maintained. Good restaurants in the area. Overall, I'd definitely consider it again, assuming the rate was reasonable.

Your post is a little too general. At what time of the year are you staying and what's your budget?

I don't know what you mean by easy access to the airport. I just spent a week at Hotel Sixty Two which is not an airport hotel, but it's on the same block as the P. de Gracia stop and RENFE train to the airport, both of which I used. It seems newly renovated and modern, and also within a few blocks of Casa Mila and Casa Battlo. Ramblas is a couple blocks away, downhill. Other attractions can all be reached by the extensive metro system. I paid 129 euro for a room with a private terrace (although I think it's normally a little more). Basic rooms are less.

Avenida Palace, centrally located, close to transit stops, Las Ramblas, small "suites", fine breakfast, was running a 99 Euro special in May/June. I heartedly recommend the place on all counts.
