Hertz - Do different Countries have different 5*/PC requirements?

I was helping a computer-challenged friend (whose employer is *not* located in the USA) with her Hertz reservations. When I logged into her account, I clicked on the information for 5* and PC. Amazingly, it stated that 5* was awarded for "5-10 qualified rentals within a 12 month period" and that PC was awarded for "a minimum of 11 qualified rentals within a 12 month period".

I couldn't believe my eyes. Even the comparison chart (Gold v. 5* v. PC) listed 5-10 and 11 as the minimum required annual rentals. When I copy/pasted the link to another browser (not having logged into Hertz), it showed the standard 10 and 40. I then logged out of her account and into my account and saw the standard 10 and 40. When I went back to her account, it then showed the standard 10 and 40.

HUH?!

Any ideas about what that was all about? Are there different qualification levels or was this just some sort of bizarre computer glitch? I swear I was not drinking! :D I should have printed to PDF before logging out of her account.

In Finland it's 3 rentals for gold, 10 for 5* and 30 for PC.

Same in the UK - at least for 5*/PC, not sure about gold - probably as us Europeans take so many holidays, and aren't quite as enamored with our own cars vs taxis which means that its still reasonably impressive to manage to get 30 rentals going! Certainly in the UK we are so nicely small that hiring a car frequently loses out to driving your own from home :D

However, 11 for PC seems like a typo though unless this country didn't even have a Hertz location and needs special incentives?

I know it used to be 20 rentals for PC in Canada, not sure if it still is since I go well over 40 every year anyway.

The nice thing was you used to get a free rental cert for every 7 rentals... that has been brought into line with the 15 rental requirement as in the USA.

Australia is 10 for 5* and 30 for PC ; there are some locations with much lower requirements than that

Any ideas, as to specifics? I'm especially curious to know where the requirement is "5-10" for 5* and 11 for PC.

Uruguay : 5 for 5* and 11 for PC

It is easy to see the requirements for country to country. just go to hertz.com and change country of residence and click go and then use the #1 club overview/join link to see the requirements
