Dear all, apologies if this is the wrong forum, but i couldn't detect any better.

Come January I will be flying into Toronto one evening from the UK, then the next morning flying to Cancun via IAH. I understand I will "enter" the US at Toronto. Bearing in mind I'll have no address to be staying at whilst in the US, how on earth do I record this information on my ESTA (The green I-94W's will be phased out by then, I believe) to the US authorities' satisfaction? I hold a UK passport.

Any advice gratefully received.

I put TRANSIT in the US address field on the blue entry form and show my Toronto Cancun ticket showing the IAH connection to the US CBP agent when you are pre-clearing into US at YYZ.

Never a problem before Nexus.

This poster is correct. Write In Transit on the immigration form in the address field, show your onward ticket/boarding pass if requested and away you go.

triple yes. You SHOULD pre-clear in Toronto so you will arrive in Houston as a domestic pax (and not have to re-clear security/TSA).
Just write in-transit on the form and note to the officer you have a connection.

Note that ESTA does not require you to enter an address. It has a number of fields which are optional, so they are best left empty. The customs form does require a US address, so as the other posters have said, "Transit" is the correct response.
