So never having had a "legit" massage ;) ahem...
Can someone tell me how it works?
Do you strip down to your knickers or?
How long does it take?
I will be on the 7:30am NRT flight - can you walk to the gate or do they drive you from the lounge?
Anything I should be aware of so as not to look like an idiot?
Thanks!

If you arrive on TG F, they will pick you up in cart and take you to the lounge. Either tell them upon arrival at the lounge or tell the agent in the lounge your intent for a massage. You can suggest a time or they will pick for you.
They will come and get you and take you across the hall to the spa.
When the masseuse comes to get you, she will take you to the room....strip down....have a shower.....and get on the table.
It will take almost an hour. I usually tip (pardon the wording) after. I have always enjoyed the experience. I've never tried any "funny business" they have always been quite professional.

At your appointment time you'll be collected from the first class lounge and taken to the spa. You'll be invited to have a shower. After which you'll put on a robe, and they'll have disposable underwear for you to wear.
At the table you'll disrobe, you'll be covered, it'll be appropriately discrete and no 'funny business'.
How long does it take?
They advertise it as a 75 minute massage which is about right including shower before and after. You can have them do less time of course.

Well you CAN walk to the gate otherwise you'll be escorted, golf cart will depend on the gate you're leaving from.

This is certainly not required.

You will be fine, Yukonprince, don't worry about it. The massage suite is two rooms, In the first it is as everyone says, just a shower room with cupboard to hang your clothes, and some paper undies, a robe and slippers. Now you can have a shower now if you wish and you may also like one afterwards to get rid of the oils. Then its into the massage spa room. You will be asked which oil you prefer, if you don't know, just pick anyone. They start with an arm then a leg, cover that area then move to the other side. When finished with your front they turn you over and do your back which entails them walking up and down your spine (notice the hand rails above the table ). If at anytime you feel uncomfortable ask them to stop, but the odds are you will become hooked on it. After your shower and you have dressed they will take you to a lounge and offer a ginger tea which you will love, a biscuit or a health bar..Nothing to it, just relax and enjoy it

Thanks Yukon for asking this question, I was curious as well.
I'm not overly keen on wearing those paper underwear, but so long as they have some that will fit a 38inch waist then I'll be okay.
I had a full body massage in India once and I found the fella got a little too close for comfort in certain area's. It's turned me off full body massages all together. I'm still debating getting one in the F lounge. we shall see!

Looks like the massage "LADIES" in the Thai F lounge are much better looking than that fella in India hee, hee!

It's turned me off full body massages all together. I'm still debating getting one in the F lounge. we shall see!You don't have to get an oily; you can always get a foot massage and/or a neck and shoulder massage instead. When I went thru the Thai F process in BKK I did not have time for the full monty :o so I went for the foot massage instead. Nice massage ^ and very pleasant surroundings.

Will the TG F lounge allow an F passenger to bring a guest (flying business)?
If so, will that guest be able to use the spa?

I was flying Y when guested into the F lounge about a year ago. We didn't inquire about the spa as there wasn't any time to bother.

If I am not wrong, the guest can use the F lounge but not the spa.

Incorrect. The F pax will be given the 1 hour full body "Touch of Silk" massage, however the guest will be given the 30 minute Head and Neck or Foot massage.

I had two recent experiences at the Thai Spa -- July 24 and August 5. If you opt for anything less than the full-body massage, your are very much missing out!!
If anyone wants to see more photos of the Thai F experience (in the air and on the ground), please send me a PM and I will send you the links. I posted trip reports on Facebook and I can send a public link to anyone. BTW, I'm a professional photographer, so the photos are really worth checking out.
(BTW, my itinerary also included one OZ leg and one LX leg, so my trip reports also cover those segments. But most of the reports are for TG.)

You are correct. I failed to notice the parenthetical of guest flying business.

You are correct if the guest will be flying business on TG.

Not necessarily. I've had the full-body massage and the upper body only, and actually prefer the latter. However, if you want to experience everything the spa has to offer, the full-body is worth a try.
When the masseuse comes to get you, she will take you to the room....strip down....have a shower.....and get on the table.
Wow! The masseuse has never done this when I've been at the spa. Maybe I should opt for the full-body more often :D .
