Hi all,

There's no real single answer to this query, and I only ask out of curiosity, but has anyone else noticed the non-availability of cheap tickets on the 8am/9am out of MAN to LHR recently? Things only seem to revert to 'normal' when you get to the winter schedule.

Just curious as to where this surge in popularity might have come from (I'm a regular weekly traveller on this route so it stood out for me). BA flyers hedging their bets against future strike action, maybe? Suffice it to say, it's forced me onto BA for the forseeable until the cheaper buckets open up again!

Likely just as bmi have realised its more profitable to jack up the prices, they do the same on the edi-lhr route for example most days.

Think of it as a way to separate the men from the boys, either that or a way to lose custom ;) if you search this forum for' revenue management' you'll meet some friends from dublin...

Yep I've noticed this, and I've been on the flights a couple of times in recent weeks. Suffice to say they've not been completely full. I get the impression there is quite a bit of connection traffic onboard.

It really is a shame we lost the very early 06:35 (IIRC) rotation MAN-LHR which BD had a hold on. It seems that this 06:XX rotation only currently goes two days a week. Shame really as the first BA flight isn't until 07:15 on the 1385.
