MilesBuzz! - Triple Bonus Miles- AA , From Pitt to Peking- Too Good to be true ???

I am new to this forum and would like to run by this offer with you guys. I plan on going to China within the promotion period, all flights are within AA and no partners, I will leave from Pittsburg and arrive back in Pittsburg, all the stated rules of this program I am following to the T. I even called AA's Advantage customer to confirm ( she was skeptical and had to confirm with her supervisor ). In theory, I should be getting some serious miles when this is done, and just slightly short of getting another free trip back to Asia.

Does anyone have a concerns on this deal? It just sounds to good to be true.

But AA does have flights out of PIT to international gateways.

I believe the OP is talking about Pittsburgh (PIT). In that event, the double status & triple RDM (redeemable miles) would be applicable. If one is Plat or Exec Plat, one would get quad RDM's.

Yes, Pittsburg does not have international flight but only connection at Chicago. So its Pitt-Chi-Peking, all with AA. I now just gotta book a flight from Philly to Pitt to complete the plan.

Why should it be too good to be true?
Just go to aa.com where you'll see it clearly in black and white, along with identical promos from Raleigh, Nashville and St. Louis.

What the above posters were referring to, apparently too obliquely, is that "Pittsburg" airport is in Kansas (actually, Atkinson Municipal Airport)

"Pittsburgh" airport is in Pennsylvania, and likely your actual connection city. Note the spelling difference. :)

It applies to flights ex Nashville, Pittsburgh, Raleigh-Durham and St. Louis, and requires booking by Nov. 30 for flights until Dec. 31, 2010.
