South - Decent and cheap hotel in Charlotte, NC.

I will be in Charlotte for the Ravens-Panthers game on Nov. 21st and am looking for suggestions on where to stay. I'll be there with 3-4 other people and we'll be only there for one night (getting there Saturday morning and coming back after the game on Sunday). We are looking something closer to the Bank of America stadium or if there's a better place in Charlotte, that can be considered too as we'll have our own car. Free breakfast won't hurt either.

Any advice??

are you looking to stay downtown? what amenities near the hotel are you looking for? downtown has some mid priced hotels, the South Park area has many hotel choices that shouldn't be overly pricey on the weekends and plenty of restaurant/bar options within 1-2 miles. don't recommend anything near airport. hope this helps

There's a Hilton Garden Inn and a Hampton Inn within walking distance of the stadium, you'll not even need a car. Both are usually cheap. there's also a Courtyard fairly close, There's a Holiday Inn very close as well.

if you want to spend more the Westin is very close also. Any hotel in Charlotte Uptown is in walking distance of the stadium.

There is a Residence Inn right to the stadium. It is a few blocks from the Trade/Tryon area also. last time I was in this hotel on a weekend, they had a 'tailgate' party in the restaurant. decent hotel. Decent staff. Parking onsite, for a fee.

There's an Aloft hotel less than 1/2 mile from BOA Stadium. It has a AAA breakfast rate (breakfast for two) for less than $120 for Saturday Nov 20.
